SHELDON—A 20-year-old Sheldon man was arrested about 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance — methamphetamine — third or subsequent offense.

The arrest of Kyran Lee Schuknecht stemmed from him being observed walking near Wyman Street and Third Avenue and an officer knowing he was wanted on a Lyon County warrant, according to the Sheldon Police Department.

A glass jar containing a white crystalline substance that field tested positive for meth was found during a search following his arrest.

The Lyon County warrant was for a probation violation after Schuknecht previously pleaded guilty to a charge of first-offense possession of a controlled substance — methamphetamine.
